I don't do mornings :-D

However, I had to this morning cos I attended our lovely Sandie's funeral at 11:00 am in Brynmawr, so had to be up[ early enough to find the place

I start work later in the day. However, that does not stop one of the cats doing exactly what Shirley's cats do at 6am. Nor my boss from phoning me at 7.40am to tell me it is sunny today and to make sure I wear protective cream.

But nice to say good morning to everyone as I slurp my coffee and take my tablets - one, two, three, four. And a cube of chocolate to take taste away. Now to find my glasses, toupee and teeth :-( :-( :-(

Rain forecast, but should not be too bad. Quite refreshing sometimes. Hope all have a nice day :-D

Cat got me up at 5.30 this morning . Wailed at the side of the bed them jumped on me and padded up and down my torso. Ended up as usual with her bum in my face .

I pushed her off me hoping she would settle on the bed between sleeping hubby and me but no she was having none of it.

Wil be cream crackered later as didn't go to bed till after 12 last evening

Jeni I don't mind 5am in the summer nice and light (though would rather sleep on till later) but don't like when it is dark and cold but both ways the house is nice and quiet in the summer I do like to get the washing out early ohh it give you a good feeling

Hello Nolls, I always think the early morning [5.00 am] is the best part of the day, house quiet, except for Max my 19 year old ginger cat, sitting in the garden with a cuppa listening to the birds, and having an occasional visit from the fox who comes for any titbits left out for him.

Shirley we have just the same we have only had Mia for a year she belonged to my son and family who emigrated ...we did not want a cat at our age but what can you do so I moan and groan at her but really she is a nice wee thing but so very fussy with her food ohhh! not only that the 2 cats in the street think they should live at our house and are trying to chase her away they steal into the house and eat her food just wish their owners would look after them properly...moan over :-D

Now the mornings are so much lighter Mirabelle our 16 year old cat thinks one up all up . she is getting a bit senile. like me and OH lol, its quite pitiful that she often will "call" and her wailing is very off putting .

She decides c 6am its time I get up and feed her . I will try to ignore her but she sits at the side of the bed and howls .or jumps on me and nearly stifles me with her bum in my face.

She wont give up till I do and i will go to the bathroom .she sits at my feet whilst I am on the loo and then waits at the top of the stairs till I say go on .or come on ,as we go downstairs to the kitchen

She is a cow tho I often put a clean bowl down with new food and change her water and she will sniff at it and walk away .

She just wants me up so she can sit on my lap and have a cuddle.

Wish she would wait till later though

Hi Fell asleep in the chair there for half an hour got a phone call at 9.30am to say friends were coming up for coffee so had to rush round and tidy up !! but now got curtains almost dry and ironed just ready to hang up. Not good enough all you sleepy heads so if you all switch your Skype on I shall gladly sound the trumpet at 5.30 each day ...for you to get up and enjoy our beautiful Summer sunshine!

I never heard you at 5.30 Nolls. Didn't wake till 8!!!!! Feel I have missed two and a half hours of my life :-(

Will suggest to Genes that we have alarms pinned to our computers. First person up sets off the alarm for everyone else ;-)

I was late this morning - only just having my early morning cuppa lol.
I must have been tired because I fell asleep reading my book last night,
woke up this morning to crumpled pages :-(
(Another reason to use a Kindle lol, at least that just turns itself off and the pages don't crease ;-) )

Sue I don't mind getting up early I like the house to myself too but this 5-5.30 am is ridiculous just can't sleep now-a-days wouldn't mind if I had slept till then but been awake since about 2 ugh!

Oh It's nice being up early - 5.30am - I've had the board almost to myself no pushing to get in first of the queue it's like going out into the garden at this time and all being peaceful ....Come on then you Wakey Wakey time for your fix of GR chat board I'm getting lonely here by myself :-D
