me too Allan! I can remember the awful rubber smell.

I still think they put me on an ironing board lol

I do remember waking up, realising there was another child in the bed! Head to toe..... then we were transferred to a ward.

I found the games and radio sections were good.

I also remember the mask from when I had my tonsils removed. I still have nightmares :-0

I stumbled across this website today.

I found it fascinating!

The creator was born in the same month and year as myself, and only nine days earlier.

Although he lived in Sevenoaks and I was in the North, the similarities (apart from the house and garden that he describes) are amazing.
