Largely speaking, a fruit contains seeds whereas a vegetable is an actual part of the plant, like a stem or a root etc. So, a fruit is like the ovary of the plant.
The peapod is the ovary which contains the seed (pea).

I think it is a Seed, Think "Sweet Pea" first the seed then the flower then back to the pod which encloses the seed for the next years planting,Hope that helps.**M**. :-)

Its not an animal
Its not a mineral
So its got to be vegetable :-D

Technically, a pea is a seed and a pea pod a fruit because it contains the seed.
A legume is a fruit that splits along the sides when ripe to release the seed within it.

SO... its a fruit... its a vegetable &... its a legume ;-)

Just eat it :-D :-D
