Copy a tree from another relations tree to mine

Can anyone please tell me if i can copy a tree from another relations tree to mine and how to do it looking forward to your replys

No you cannot do this as it will overwrite yours. As the only means of transferring data/trees is via the GEDCOM.

Think that some commercial programmes may allow you to merge data.

But in all honesty, most on here would advise against wholesale copying unless you have verified all that data yourself.

Even my 2 cousins who allowed me access to their vast trees had made mistakes, and in some cases even the same mistake even though they did not know of each other (same family but distant branches). And had I copied their information to my tree without checking I too would have had these mistakes.

So no matter how much another tree may be appealing to just copy, in some cases without research all you are doing is perpertrating any errors.
