for LaGooner Lynda and anybody who likes London

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b036btbw
from "Routemasters"

The first episode was about the Blackwall tunnel.
Last night's was the night bus - I had no idea that you can now get a bus from Oxford Street to Ilford in the wee small hours still less that they are busy!
How do you like Boris' superbus ?

I have seen little bits of the programmes Rollo, watching them properly later, the bits I saw looked very interesting.

I was always a Underground girl, got most places by Underground, but now I'm a bus person, love the places you can see on the bus.

The number 11 is my favourite though :-D

The new Routemaster is the No 24. From Hampstead to Pimlico.

I have seen it whizzing along the road in Camden Town, all bright red and shiny, it looks great.

It is more rounded than the older buses, and the staircase from the bottom to the top deck is 'transparent'.

It has both a driver and a conductor, who tells you to swipe your Oyster Card, and I believe the back deck is open to 'jump on and jump off'.

I may just treat myself to a ride on it over the weekend.

Sit upstairs at the front, and pretend to 'drive'.

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I'm working in London in the summer for a week, helping the tourists out in the area of Westminster Abbey, similar to what I did at the Olympics.

London has lots going on, over the summer, I will post all the things going on, when I get to know what they all are.

If you go to this area and see a woman smiling at you, that'll be me :-D

Move over on the top deck MTG, I'll drive with you :-D

Those of us who live in London take the night buses for granted. They are the only mode of transport during the wee hours when the tube stops running around midnight until 5 am.

My friend gets one from Hackney to Kentist Town for his shift 2.30 am and is never late. The night buses are very regularly and in most cases keep to a tight schedule.
