Wonderful Rose well done!! recipe looks quite easy to do and also looks really good. I love fish and sole is one of my favourites.
I must say I also liked the note-paper your grandmother wrote her recipe on, and lovely handwriting...you are so lucky...one to treasure :-D

Smashing,,,,,,,its like a dish I often do for myself ,but with cod and omitting the scallops,,,,,lovely with grated cheese on top of mash.

Did the sauce have cheese in it? I didn't see him put any in, but then he said he was poring the lovely cheesy sauce over it

Linda it had 55g of cheddar cheese in it, though you don't see it added ...in the original it just says 'very little cheese'. :-)

it looks delicious, and we love fish dishes

Unfortunately, we'll have to make a lot of adaptations to it ................... I'm dairy-intolerant!

We use soy milk and margarine to make mashed potatoes, and also a very acceptable white sauce.
