Tried to get there but gave up when still two miles away at 2.30 having crawled stop-start for six or seven miles since 10.30.

The flying started at 13.00 and we wouldn't have got there before 15.30, besides which we were told that by then only prepaid ticket holders were being admitted.

The traffic management was non-existent and the organisers should never be allowed to run another event. :-(

That's really disappointing Brian :-(
I love air shows, and am disappointed that the one which would have been nearest for me to get to has been cancelled this year due to lack of financial support :-(

That's a shame Brian, My son lives next to Manston, airport on minster road and loves the air show

I have my touring caravan parked in his large 4 acre garden and you get a great view from their,

We were going to go there Brian, but heard about the traffic, sounded horrendous. We went to Manston for an air show years ago, again the traffic was terrible, approach roads aren't much better than they were, having said that the show was spectacular. Shame you were so near, yet didn't get to see anything.
