If it’s any help to anyone who can‘t stop a site starting after a panic shut down.
.
I had a scare today I clicked on an innocent looking item, can’t for the life of me remember what site it was I have a feeling it was either the yahoo home page or Mail on line can’t really say for sure, a video started to run of a cartoon drawing (nothing naughty just something I didn’t want to carry on with) telling me I must watch to the end, deciding it sounded iffy I tried to close the browser and was blocked.

I pulled the plug on the modem but the video kept running and program manager would not launch. I decided to switch of the computer at the mains “that will fix you” thinks I.

When I restarted as soon as I launched the browser the darn video was back further on with a box on screen to click to stop it, I was no way going to click that! Total panic off again, restart video runs again!

Pulled plug again sat back with cuppa penny dropped!! Firefox was attempting to reinstate the session because I had interrupted it.
I disconnected from the modem restarted browser and Firefox window opened with sorry we can’t restart these sites, simply unchecked sites leaving the first which I saw was the home page and restarted, video gone, huge sigh of relief. Just shows how your brain goes to mush when something like that happens. :-S

Regards,
Mayfield :-D

I know exactly how you feel re brain goes to mush. I came out of the supermarket today with loads of shopping and thought my car had been stolen. Full of panic I walked the whole length of the car park before I remembered I had left it out on the road.
