help with tree

hello i am quite new to this I am a platinum member is there anything else I should add to get more info? Also how do you delete people...i seem to have added the same person numerous times....sorry for being a pain as I said Im new and still learning....thank you in advance xx <3

Don't add any thing else until you have dealt with the basics - Census and BMD.

There are many free sites available including

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ - BMD index which is also included in your Platinum sub
http://www.freereg.org.uk/ - transcribed bap, marriage and burials
https://www.familysearch.org/search - all the above + some others. Occassionally you will be able to access images.

If you were ever to get a result on GR that you can't access, ask on Find Ancestors as someone else probably can either on GR or Findmypast from which many of the records originate.

Other subscription sites hold parish records such as those for Livepool or London - again, ask for a look up.

Google the areas you are interested in - there may be parish records or transcriptions available for free.

Can't really help with duplicated relatives other than to say that the selected person will have 3 tabs under the main box in the tree view. One of those is delete.

You've already noticed that the Tree is playing up today - the duplication could be the result of that. If not, contact support [email protected]
