17 weeks since his triple bypass and his leg wound is still not healed went to nurse for dressing change yesterday she didn't even take dressing off and got dr and they said was infected more antibiotics.

Dads just called asking if Steve will go and pick him up and take him to hospital as he called Dr out and they think could be a DVT.

Happy days.

Your poor Dad, he must be so fed up, hope the hospital sorts him out and his leg heals properly very soon. If he gets put on warfarin make sure the gp or hospital keep checking his dosage as o.h.'s father had lots of problems and was back in hospital for more than a week after taking too much warfarin and having blood leaching from his veins etc. He still isn't really well.

Such a worry for you all Dawnie, hope Steve didn't have to stay too long at the hospital.

Steve dropped him off then sister when she was free went and sat with him she sent a text at half 12 to say what was going on and dad got home at 1am, He is back this afternoon for ultra sound on it to confirm .

They will have to keep eye on dad as hes diabetic as well so all them needles in and out could cause aproblem told him today don't cut yourself shaving cos Steves doing painting for me at minute so cant go and redecorate - gotta laugh over it all or you would cry.

I hope things have calmed down and your Dad is more comfortable today.
It is a worry for everybody but a blessing that he is getting checked out for suspected DVT, but hopefully the scan will show a good report and he can begin to improve after all he has had to cope with.

Keep looking for something to make you smile....... I guess it will stop you from crying!
I hope that things will get better soon for your Dad and for you and your family xx

well they say he hasn't a DVT from the scan got another one on Friday to make sure but cant say why his leg is like it is its 5cm bigger than other .

To cap it off when he was at hospital the Tesco shopping arrived so mum tried to put it away put a box on her walker and that toppled it over taking her with it told her today she just wanted some of the attention instead of dad getting it all.

Perhaps your Dad's leg wound is just taking a long time to heal naturally after the operation. It's hopeful that no DVT has been detected and fingers crossed this will show the same result when he is scanned again on Friday.

So sorry that your Mum has had a fall. Not nice at all that and just what your family could do without right now. I hope things will calm down and get better for everyone very soon. xx

Your poor Mum, she was probably stressed already without a fall to add to the worry. Hope she will be ok and your Dad's problem will soon be sorted out.
