Thank you Les and your Grandad, today I am missing my Dad more than ever.

He had a horrible time in the last days of his life and it has lightened my heart to read these wonderful words.

Oh Leslie, this is very, very moving, have to admit to a few tears and lump in throat. Did your grandad write any more poetry? He certainly wrote this beautifully, it is to be treasured and kept for future generations.

The penalty of life is death-
Immovable, unchanging the decree..
Still all it's power, when the last breath
Is breathed by frail mortality,,
Has flown beyond the fleeting being
Of time and sense,, behold the immortal stands
And rising on never tiring wings,,
Thou shalt take thy crown of glory
From His hands...
This is not death,,ti's glorious life!!
The swift transition from a sphere of sorrow
And cares bitter strife,,
Into a realm that knows no fear!!
The mystic tale shall soon be past,,
Swift as the sunrise chases back the night...
The toiler shall find rest and peace at last,,
And darkness flee from eternal light..
I come to lay white blossoms at thy breast..
I knew thee well,,forgive this falling tear...
Rememberance is mine..
Thou art now at rest......

Very,,very touching I think you'll agree.....LES.
