Other than having a cold or hayfever, does anyone else sneeze 8-10 times for no reason?

A woman I worked with would have sneezing fits for no apparent reason.

As she was rather well endowed we all looked forward to the results with interest :-D

Actually I seem to remember my Dad was the same. My sneezes are explosively loud so I always hope I am at home, not in a shop or on the bus :-D

Whatever the reason, sneezing requires a momentary eye closure.

When I quaff certain ales I spend the next half hour sneezing sometimes.

Must be an allergy to some hops.

But don't worry about me. I shall endeavour to put up with it whilst carrying out my ongoing and vitally important research.

It wasn't just the physical display, impressive though it was, but the sneezes were not the usual 'atishoo' type whether explosive or not.

When this lady sneezed it was a continuous 'nick nick nick' sound and could go on for about fifteen to twenty such utterances.

Weird!

I never sneeze less than five times and as someone's said you have to close your eyes. I dread having a sneezing fit in the fast lane of the motorway :-(

My OH always sneezes when he looks into the sun, frightens the life out of me when he is driving. He is a much more dainty sneezer than me though.

Wendy (TS) I am pretty sure an elderly lady driver was injured when she sneezed on the motorway near here some years back. Yes I have heard you sneeze and am sure you have heard me too. Lol!!!

hi ann,
I have sneezing episodes everyday, they are alway's 10-11 long, sometimes I think they are coming from my feet as they take ages to get there but boy do they fire out when they do.
my gp say's I have allergic rhinitis & I have to use a steroid nasal spray everday.
if I do not use the spray I can sneeze for most of the day and my nose feel's blocked.

EDIT-my son also has sneezing fit's as well.

OH has sneezing fits ................. changes of temperature are one cause for him

and they can be sudden, explosive, and loud

He has to try to give me a warning that he is about to sneeze if he can ................. I jump a mile every time!

His father was the same, always having sneezing fits.
