WHY when I do not use a handbag, I can still spend over and hour looking at various sites at bags. Have had to stop myself from buying 2 beauties that I have seen.

I have a cupboard with around 10 good quality leather bags in and now I no longer work have no need for them, but I love them!!!

It is an illness :-S

Not so much bothered by shoes as I have to buy wide fitting shoes.. Another gripe of mine.. Just because I take a wider width I would like a better choice of f shoes.. And Yes I know about the Shoe Tailor but even they think if you need extra width you do not want fashion or style... Have even looked at Cosy Feet and they have a couple of good designs but are far too flat...

PP start using them I don't go anywhere without mine where else would I carry my wee bits of plastic (those wee thingy bits which are really marvellous you just put them in a machine or hand over to someone and they give you goods or money...wonderful) but you really need somewhere safe for them :-D

I found that I just started to buy larger and larger bags and filled them

Now when I go out all I take is my purse, which is just big enough for my mobile phone as well, with my beloved plastic. And my car keys.

I do not need more than that. And if the purse is in my hand it cannot be 'picked' from a bag or pocket...

It is rather like wearing a watch, when you do you constantly look at the time, but stop wearing one and within a day or so you suddenly find you are no longer bothered about the time. And I find my internal clock is often only about 10-15 mins out. And I am NEVER late for any appointments. So my 2 lovely gold watches are now also redundant.

As you can tell, I have really pared down in my baggage. Now if only I could stop hoarding all the other stuff in the house......... <3

Our daughter would take all the old handbags folks were dumping .every handbag she had was her VERY BEST handbag.

This was from aged about 6. She was nicknamed the handbag queen of Charlton which was were we lived when she younger.

She is still a handbag queen some 49 year later .although she buys em now .

Funny thing is she uses the same one all the time and stores the others in a wardrobe.

I too have a collection of bags but did manage to send some to charity recently. When shopping in town I rarely use a handbag, I always wear a 'bum' bag in the summer when I haven't got a coat on and in the winter have a coat with a zipped inside pocket for my purse. Which brings me to my gripe. why don't more ladies jackets have inside pockets big enough to take a purse?

My gripe is WHY cant I get a brown handbag that has a zipper across it but compartments inside that take mobile phone & a zipped credit card compartment .
need too a place to store the keys etc.

Hate bags that have just the one inner cos everything drops to the bottom and is awkward to find.

I can get black bags that are OK but Brown NOPE. I wear an off white fleece most of the time with different coloured trousers & brown ankle boots that are comfy for driving , have to have a non complementary black bag to carry all I need too.

Now I aint a fashion queen by no means but I know black is out of place with what I mostly wear.

I NEED a brown handbag that is big enough to be sensible

have you thought about a rucksack?

Ps to be avoided if you are brown coloured and have a faceful of beard

I have bought lots of bags, mainly from charity shops and the latest one I am using is grey, and enormous (apparently this is fashionable these days too lol) I always carry far too much around but can't bear a small handbag unless I am going somewhere like a funeral or wedding when I will decant things into a small bag but leave the larger one with all the other paraphenalia locked in the boot of the car!

I got fed up with the summer bag I use on holidays having everything lumped together in the bottom so made myself a handbag tidy with pockets for phone and cards and other things so it's easier to find things. I stiched it in on one side because the bag is fabric. You can buy handbag inserts that you can switch from bag to bag (usually in those brochures that come with magazines)
