It's just been brought home to me how lucky my OH and I are we have 6 children 5 in laws 12 g/children + 1 bump and although sadly some of them emigrated last year we can still have about 17/18 family for a get together. Now our oldest daur's b/day is soon (won't say how old she would kill me) so we are going out for a meal however one of my sons asked if his new g/friend could come and I felt so sorry for her as she was brought up in an orphanage and has no family and when she heard son say we were having a family "do" she said "Do you know I have never been to a family get together" she is in her 40's now...how sad...Well guess what she is coming to ours she may wish she hadn't bothered with all the noise lol! but I hope she enjoys herself :-) |
