I find that I have all my favourites at hand but
struggle to go from one to the other like I did
before, think I need to have everything on my
desktop screen.

I really don't like it. I can get on GR home page but when I try to go onto the boards, messages etc nothing is happening now It just remains on the home page.

Yes it seems to be very sensitive.

Thank you Errol,

Don't know what I've done but now I can't get onto the boards by using the drop down menu I've had to go into the history to read this thread. I've also tried to log into FB but a page to create a new fb account comes up, not the normal log in page.

Chris like you trying to get the settings to come up on
screen to shut down is a nightmare. Very sensitive I
find.

I'd just like to know how to use it easily. It took me a while just to find out how to shut down last night. It's not as simple to use as xp is.

Thanks for your reply Fred. Does it make a difference if I'm using mozilla firefox, Sorry if I sound a dimwit but I'm not that good with computers. I'll have to wait for hubby to come back and get him to do it for me.

start the computer and wait for the home screen to come up ,loads of apps come up looking like little pictures, move the cursor to the left as far as it will go ,then move down the screen in the same way ,and click on the bottom picture ,this should show you internet explorer ,open up from there ,Fred.

What specifically would you like to know?

Chrissie2394 Report 7 Jun 2013 17:32

Hi Fred not too sure what you mean by bottom picture. All I can see when i move the cursor to the bottom left corner is the small image of the windows 8 screen. When I left click, the windows 8 then fills the screen. If I right click I get numerous options.

GoldenGirl1, if I can't do it with the help I get on here I may have to get my step-son to help when he gets time. I had xp before, hubby has got windows 7 but not keen on that either.
