This week David Cameron done a sort of re-launch of his pet project The Big Society.

I've lost count of how many times he has re-launched this. This time he has announced a £250million fund to stop community facilities closing down, he said he wanted local people to be able to own shops, village halls, playing fields and even swimming pools.

I wonder if the Prime Minister's announcement could be connected with the Chancellors spending review at the end of this month when he will announce spending for 2015/2016, as some are reporting that local authority funding will be one area that will be hit quite hard.

There again maybe I am just being cynical ;-)

Forgive me for pointing it out, but there was a time when local people owned all those things.........until they were priced out of existence
