All of the time when we are together, I store things up to discuss with OH when he gets home from work. I have to admit I am a bit of a chatterbox, and will usually strike up a conversdtion with anyone. :-D :-D

OH and I don't talk a lot......well I would and do ,but I think it goes in one and out the other lol.He isn't one for general chit chat but talks when he has something to say (if you know what I mean.)He is better now that he has gone Part Time so is more relaxed and not bogged down with work concerns....Grunt's are quite common Dermot :-D from him ,not me :-D
I think phones should be banned from any eating places..SWITCH OFF.I think it is so rude when people spend the time texting etc when sat around with friends .People are beginning to forget how to communicate verbally these days.
I do talk to myself a great deal :-S.I have to have a conversation with someone sensible ;-)

Do 'grunts. count?

Easy access to wi-fi and the internet has eliminated or, at least, reduces the need for us to actually talk to each other face to face. I go out to lunch these days with a group of six people and, at any given time, at least two of them are receiving or sending texts on their mobile phones.

Does that include or exclude me talking to myself Susan ? :-)

With Dan, who is either at college, up in his room doing college work or his phone business, it's probably about a dozen a day that aren't about food or techie stuff that I don't really understand.

In the average week it's probably about half a dozen sentences with staff in shops, and one or two phone calls from an elderly friend, which are always the same sentences but sometimes in a different order.

add: about once a month or so I get to speak in a proper stimulating conversation with my best friend on the phone.

:-D

that you and your other half pass between you in any given day and week.

Or for those alone....how many sentences would you say passed between yourself and any other person.....not written.

Just wondering.....no reason.....no connotations ......
