Thanks Dizzi.

To slalom is to zigzag between obstacles. And I know all about potholes in country sand covered roads near where I grew up. Five miles either way to school via these dirt tracks on my sturdy bike with no gears & a big bag of books made me very fit & slim.

Now I'm fat, unfit & bald. Climbing our stairs is very strenuous these days. Where could I buy an escalator?

THEY TURNED INTO FUDDY GREAT POTHOLES ALL ROUND
OUR ROADS.
