Just finished our new kitchen - white units, grey floor tiles and worksurface, white and light grey tiles, so went for light green walls in Dulux Colourmatch called Forest Lake - looks good, even if I say it myself!

YOU CAN ALWAYS REPAINT
TRY ON WINDOW SIDE A DIFFERENT COLOUR
OR THE WALL FACING THE BACK DOOR.

GLAD ITS BEING FITTED AT LAST,
YOU BEEN WAITING LONG ENOUGH.

My old kitchen was the height of fashion in the very 1980's lol . With its cream velum/ dark oak units & brown leather look surfaces, cream tiles... some with dark brown country scenes & dark brown 'wood look' tiled flooring. Over the years it has been cream, peach, blue & at the moment is green.

Possibly it is the green contrast that is putting me off of my original choice :-|

Light floods in all day as the window is south facing out down my garden.

Have you tried terracotta or salmon or maybe a primrose or other yellow colour on one wall?

I am thinking light walls have you got lots of light in the kitchen, I have 2 colours in mine because of the shape

:-D

Yes Scozz, that may be the way to go. I had thought that with the Blueberry but that was a bit pink for me :-D

have you considered a light lilac/purple?

imho it might go well with the blacks & greys.

What colour am I going to have on the walls?

Now that the leaking kitchen roof has been replaced I can now look forward to my new kitchen, being fitted next week.
The family helped me sort out the garage on Sunday, to allow room to store kitchen stuff there.
Units + new sink & taps have had to be stored in a spare bedroom whilst we awaited the weather to stay dry long enough for the old roof to be replaced.
I ordered flooring on line Tuesday & it was delivered yesterday. (It does pay to look round at prices/delivery times & cost, I got exactly the same as local suppliers were offering at nearly double the cost, paid nothing for next day delivery)
My Sister in Law came on Tuesday (her only available day this week) & helped me sort out my kitchen cupboards & box + label everything. This job was quite comical as she has a bad back & my knees are not good. Anyone hearing us must have wondered just what was going on. I sat on the floor & ‘bum shuffled’ round, passing items up for her to chuck/store/wrap. I then got stuck... just could not stand back up... was laughing so much that I almost did PMSL. I finally struggled to my feet with the help of a kitchen chair.
Yesterday I caught up with all laundry, came online to look at kitchen blinds & painted trial blocks of colour on one wall. Dewberry...Cappuccino... Whisky Cream
Today I have done a shop for meal ingredients that can be cooked in advance/frozen then zapped or cooked in slow cooker. Looked at colour blocks now they have dried... like NONE of them!
Light Oak Units. Black slate work surfaces. Black/Grey flooring. Light Grey/black tiles.
I was going for Dewberry/Cappuccino or Whisky Cream... thinking that as kitchen is 12 x 12 with 6ft window it could take a darker colour on at least one wall.
