Well I've had 2 ops on two Saturdays five months apart did wonder at the time if the surgeon would turn up or play his round of golf - but hey here I am! :-D

The main problem being that at the weekend there are less staff around (not on the wards) but in the other departments.

And we have all heard about the Friday afternoon production line in factories !!!!

But as the numbers are miniscule I would not really be bothered about going into hospital myself.

Just been seeing on the news that if you have an operation scheduled for the end of a week you are more likely to die than if you have one at the beginning of the week!!!!

How do "they" come up with this information?
