111 IS coming to Wales

I really don't know why, it's still being flagged as a failure in England by some doctors and A & E departments.

Why inflict an unproven system on us? We have poor ambulance response times in rural areas as it is. By the time a 111 operator has gone through their crib sheet and decided your call does warrant a 999 call it could be too late!

if it's anything like the 101 [non emergency police calls] it'll be totally useless

I despair sometimes. I know too many people dial 999 for accidents that could be dealt with by their GP or sometimesat home using good old fashioned common sense!

As for ambulances conveying drunks, therefore denying patients emergency transport to A & E I cannot express my view on here again due to personal experiences which almost cost my daughter her life.
