Surely the self styled "British Council of Islam" should pay for the costs of cleaning up this mess (which are going to be substantial) ?

It doesn't state who did the graffitti, so how can you say who should clear it up?
Quite frankly, anyone can write the word 'Islam', especially if they want to implicate others.
Amazingly, I could write the word Catholic on a mosque - what would that prove?

The English Defence League are pretty handy with spray paint.
