Hi All, I have just joined the community and hope I can get some information via the site. I am trying the 1911 Census but apparently the people I am looking for do not exist. Am I doing something wrong? Cheers from Oz :-S

Welcome to the boards and GR :-)

If you need a little help there are some wonderful researchers on here.
Take a look at the Find Ancestors board and I'm sure someone will be more than happy to assist you.

Have you tried alternative spellings for the names? Sometimes the transcribers get the name wrong.

I joined GR in October last year and had the same message saying that they could not trace several of my ancestors, however yesterday I received a message from GR to say they had found my x3 paternal great grandfather.

Hi!

My grandfather is missing from the 1911, I am pretty sure he was at sea by this date, could your ancestors have been abroad/on board ship?
