Thanks very much!

It never occurred to me to put "Channel Islands" in the Keyword box, because I thought the index only covered England and Wales. Happy Days. Now I can look for all my family without having to pay Ancestry.

I use FamilySearch often, because they have a lot of information which isn't available on GU. I don't think I would have got as far as I have without that site.

Thanks again, you've really helped me.

When I first started looking for one branch of my family, in Guernsey, I hit a brick wall, because I had been led to believe that no census records existed. Imagine my surprise when I accidentally clicked a button on a website (I don't remember which) and found myself on the Ancestry website, who offered details of the Channel Islands censuses, the same as in England and Wales.

I know that GU must have some CI census records, because two members of my Guernsey family were born in England, and when I put their names into the England and Wales census search, the Guernsey census form came up. However, I got nothing when I put the Guernsey-born family members in.

Can I get access to the Channel Islands censuses on the GU site? If so, how?
