Morning Zombie, not quite familiar with the cemetaries in Nottingham City centre, but how about the one on Mansfield Road, and the one called The Rock.
Just off the top of me 'ead. LOL

You could try the Parks & Cemeteries dept of the local Council. If he was buried in a municipal cemetery then they would have the info. Give them all the details from the death cert

They may charge though some do some dont. Lots now getting on the bandwagon and charging as they know genealogy has taken off as a hobby :-(

hi all
not been on for a while so popped in to see how you all are

and of course to ash a question
i know when my great grandfather died i also know were he lived when he died i just dont know were he is buried
now i was thinking seeing that he lived in the parish of sneinton nottingham that would be the first place to start looking
but i dont know how to start as they dont have records at the archives
how do i go about it
