No problem....You need to grab those 'escapes' whenever you can get them.

Glad you enjoyed your visit. Perhaps I will be able to meet up next time and you can tell me about the town's history ?

I did see it when wepassed but have to say how impressed I was with the deli. The staff were so polite and efficient and they were the sort of young girls who are often very off-hand and slapdash. The ones who are never going to be career waitresses so don't normally care.

These girls had evidently been properly trained which does make a big difference.

We were very impressed with them, even if I did give myself indigestion eating too much cheese and enjoyed the experience so much I bought some more to try it again later.

We had a meal in The Lodge at Winchelsea just before Christmas it was very nice clean and bright with plenty of space. I hate resturants that cram in too many tables. Worth a look if you are there again and looking for somewhere to eat

Regards,
Mayfield

Slipped quietly into Winchelsea today and had a look around, and a pretty yummy bit of lunch in the deli.

We will be going back because there is more I want to see and we did go on a bit of a whim today.

I do hope we can meet some others next time we go.
