snorts lol, the only roller that's in there is a paint roller Kay :-D

I will have to phone the insurance company in the morning and see if I am covered... but the gentleman from next door but two has had a look and has kindly offered to put up a beam if the insurance co' don't cover the work. In the meantime Dan has been clearing snow and water off it to lighten the load.

It never rains but what.....

Good luck with the insurers, our claim is still being evaluated after the storm damage to our roof a few months ago :-(

Now you could make yourself feel better by telling a few home truths ;-) just wait till I have my cup of tea ready.

I'd cancel hat policy toute suite - £250 excess - they're having a giraffe!!!!!

Rambling

Rambling Report 2 Apr 2013 23:12

It's not a bad policy, that's the thing Ann, I could have had a zero excess but could not then have afforded the policy at all...it was the best overall value for the money.

So sorry to hear this, RR

most of our policies here have deductibles of at least $1000 ........ which translates to about double yours, RR

so I would say that you have a good deal

although that doesn't make it any easier for you.

There would be a difference if you were renting a house here ................. coverage of the house would then be the responsibility of the owner, and the renter responsible for insurance coverage or his/her own belongings.

Our house insurance has a $2500 deductible, although the insurance does include coverage for fire, flood and earthquake.

The contents have no deductibility, which is why we got full replacement value to buy a new generator when ours was stolen
