My Mam was a smashing singer, sounded just like Karen Carpenter. My daughter has a pretty good voice, too. What on earth happened with me, I don't know! :-(

Viv I love singing it's the people around me that seem to have the problem. ;-)

I love to sing and always have BUT I have thyroid trouble and what I 'hear' in my head is not the sound that comes out of my mouth :-(

And if you had a big family and no lock on the outside privy, you soon learned to throw your shoulders back and ....SING :-D :-D

We are all born capable of singing but we need to get encouragement. How many people have been told they sound like a frog and then grow up thinking they can't sing? In my home (well we had no tv!) we all sang and were encouraged and applauded whether we were great or not! :-D

At my great old age, I joined a Singing Group a few years ago and my voice has definitely become stronger. Why, I was on the point of singing to the anaesthetist at the hospital last week, when he put me under in the nick of time! lol It is merely a muscle which needs to be used :-D

So, throw your shoulders back, take a deep breath....and SING!! :-D :-D :-D

It is said that we can all sing with training......why not join a choir and test yourself :))

Yes Hayley "Tugging Forelock in defference" Royalty does seem to have a very strange effect on Managers.Especially in Supermarkets.

And a "you look very beautiful tonight" voice. I would like to sound like Leslie Phillips, but it comes out as a sort of cross between Jasper Carrott and Stan Stennett :-(
