Hi I'm trying to search for my grandad. He was born 1922 he was Scottish but the records for Scotland are 1901...

I may sound silly but is there any way of finding him the England and wales records go up to 2008.

Sorry to be a pain i am new to all of this

You need to use Scotlandspeople for scottish records...which is a pay to view site

The latest census that will be available anywhere in Britain is the 1911.

Scotlandspeople will have the 1911 as well as images of earlier census.

You can also search on there for his parents marriage and the birth of any siblings. Presumably you already have a copy of his birth and marriage certificates
