A teenage girl with a faulty bus pass has been prevented from boarding a Nottingham bus, near to where a student who was turned away for being 20p short of her fare was raped in 2011 :-0

The girl said she was turned away from the bus only a mile away from the attack site :-|

Her mother said she had bought the pass because of the rape and was "angry".

Nottingham City Transport has apologised and said its "customers safety was of paramount importance."

"customers safety was of paramount importance."

About time they told their drivers about this,

"This was an isolated incident where one of our drivers evidently misjudged the situation, and we have reiterated with our staff the measures already in place to ensure vulnerable passengers receive support and assistance."

I don't think it is, I cannot speak for the people of Nottingham but such thing happen all the time where i live, Granddaughter now 15 years old, Over the last couple of years has often been refused despite having a bus pass, on several occasions the bus pass was claimed to be faulty and the driver has told her to "Pay Full fare" because she had no other ID to prove her age, or get off the bus, Her mum and i have had to go and pick her up on numerous occasions,
