Its either of the first 2 lamps. They are only 20w bulbs, will that be bright enough????

I haven't used those particular ones but I use a floor-standing one for my cross stitching. I like one with a flexible stem - can't think of the right word - but I don't like daylight bulbs. I've tried all sorts and my favourite is a quartz halogen bulb but that's just my personal preference. I wouldn't be without the flexible stem thingy because I can angle it to wherever I'm sitting.

Yes l'd prefer a flexible stem thingie. Not sure about the daylight bulbs either. Jean from Monmouth has said she does'nt like them either. Some ordinary light (B&Q) do 40w and 60w, but no 60w bulbed ones where l was today....never mind l'll keep looking.

My wife is useing hers at the moment she has had it for about 6 years and is very satisfied with it. It has a 20w daylight bulb.

PS it has a heavy base so will stay put and no danger of it toppling over.
