No doubt in my mind he knew all about it...just chose to hush it up.

It doesn't surprise me ....and expect that if it were any of the other party's leader the same thing would've happened......

I'd say Mr Clegg suffers from a fundamental deficit of understanding concerning the gravity of the situation. He is blessed not to be cursed with the burden of intelligence.

There appears to be an excess of snobs, simpletons, hypocrites & backstabbers in all political parties where truth & honesty are as rare as a retiring Pope.

Nick Clegg the Deputy Prime Minister has admitted he knew 5 years ago about concerns relating to the behaviour of the former Chief Executive of the party from information that had been passed to his office. However, he insists he did not know about the specific information that surfaced last week, am I confused :-S or is he confused :-S

Well either he did know about this behaviour or he did not know, several phrases come to my mind to describe what he said last night - economical with the truth, sheer hypocrisy, or perhaps Churchill's famous words - terminological inexactitudes :-(

He said the earlier concerns had been dealt with as they were put to the former Chief Executive of the party in 2008 by his then Chief of Staff Danny Alexander who warned the Chief Executive that any such behaviour was not acceptable. In other words, you have been a naughty boy - don't do it again :-|

I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty. I am also researching the Clusker family from Co. Meath in Ireland who moved to West Lothian and from there to Fife............"Vita non est vivere sed valere vita est"
