Tenerife Sun, that's very odd! It shouldn't revert to the root person unless you've closed the tree window and then open it again.

Did you have a seperate window/tab open for the other site?

Ever since the 'improvements' were made my husband is only attached to his mother, his sister is connected to their father They are not connected to each other. It was all okay before the new facilities were added. I have tried to put them back together as a family and failed. I have asked Genes and I did not get any response.

Yesterday I was taking some info from another site to add to the notes of one my ancestors, switching between my tree and the other sire but each time I went back to the tree it reverted to the first screen with me on so I had to keeping going via search tree to find my ancestor each time. Eventually I gave up.

It's not just the tree ~ even though there was about two weeks from before Christmas until last week that I couldn't see my tree AT ALL!! It wasn't the Mayans (not very funny GR staff!!!).

These are SOME of the thing we pay for that don't work all the time...

Tried sending a message, clicked SEND, got no response.... and wasn't able to open the Sent Messages box..... when I eventually got there, I found I had sent the message three times!

Viewing other trees.............. sit and watch that stupid circle going round and round and round and round and round...............

There is a lot more....which you've all probably experienced.

And............. I never sign out............ why do I have to keep signing in?

Sadly there have been ongoing problems with the tree on here since last year when they 'upgraded'.

However, the tree is not part of the package that you pay for. The tree is part of the package that is available to all members whether fee paying or free.

I removed my tree from here well over a year ago, long before the problems began.

Not a single day has passed since 21 December 2012 when there has not been problems with the tree, they fix one only for another to appear. As A result I will not be doing any work on my tree until things are sorted, fed up day after day, having to re-enter details I have already entered.

I must have been misinformed as I thought we were paying for a service :-( :-( :-(

The lack of information as to what the problems are and what is being done to resolve them reminds me of the phrase "Mushroom Management" because mushrooms are often grown in a dark shed and if you are not to bothered whether they survive or not, every so often you open the shed door, and to be polite as I cannot use the word I want to use on here, you throw some manure at them and then shut the door and hope the mushrooms will be ok.

Well this mushroom is not OK :-|

I add names, the next day the details are missing.

Some names I added have been duplicated.

I can't add existing names as parents to someone I've added. Yes, GR staff can do this......... BUT I CANNOT!

IMO The site is a shambles.

I have about 100 names to add, but why should I? The details will disappear, and I can't link the branches.

Giving the GR tree a very wide berth........ until things work properly!!!

I wonder if I will ever add another name to my GR tree.
