Hi there, im new on genes reunited, but I have already found a matching tree.........is there any way you can merge them to save time manually inputting all the new relatives?
If anyone could help i would really appreciate it.

Kind regards
Nicky :-D

Nicola,

Perhaps you could expand on that statement.

Do you mean that you have found a number of tree matches?
Or do you mean that another member has given you access to their tree - and there are a number of names in that other tree which can also fit into yours? (ie common relatives)
Or something else?

There are many folk on GR who are happy to give assistance, but they do need to understand what it is that you want.

Experiment with clipboard, although some people have reported recently that it isn't working.

A point of Etiquette – does the tree owner mind you copying their/your relatives?

Another thing is to only see other’s research as a guide. We’ve probably all made mistakes, especially when we first started, and disappeared in totally the wrong direction.

Hi there,

Thank you for your replies. Yes ive been given access to a distant family members tree, and yes, we have spoken about me adding to my tree, but to manually put all the new ones in is taking forever, i didnt know if there was an easier way of doing this. Its all very exciting though isnt it? :-D Easy to get carried away too, it took me 2 days to use all my credits......
