Will this be the first pebble to gather momentum and grow? It is reported today that a very large Investment Company in USA is selling all of its shares in a Firearms Company which produced the rifle that caused such heartache and devastation last Friday.

They state that they have no wish to be associated in any way with this rifle.

Doubtful it will have much effect. the gun lobby is too strong sadly

One company drops out others snap up the shares

well I've spent a lot of time thinking about this, as have others I have no doubt, and I've come to the conclusion that even if they ban guns in the USA altogether, these kind of things will still happen - it's more the nutters who get hold of them rather than the guns themselves

it's like when they say a particular road is dangerous, how can a road be dangerous, it's the motorists who use it who are dangerous

Strange thing is i saw on the news that the sale of fire arms in the US has rocketed since this tragedy.

Think

The american constitution stated that all americans could hold guns.
Remember when they kicked us brits out They didn´t have an army but they armed their civilians.
AND then the constitution stated men could be armed

So now poor Barak can´t just change the gun law he has to change what is their bible.

Think before you judge

I through a Diabetic site have a lot of American friends, and they are all up for having guns in spite of what has happened, and strongly defend that right.

In the Caribbean many moons ago, OH was talking to two american men - one lived on the coast another in mid-west and both were surprised OH did not own a gun. The mid- westener had 17 guns/rifles.

in the town where the tragedy occurred the local gun shop said that two sets of parents who had children at the school called in the store two hours after the tragedy to buy weapons

Chris it is a worrying situation, don't think Barak stands a chance of coming up with the right solution.
