I never stuck with the same insurance company since about 2006 better results from compare the market/meercat.type places.

I spent years with direct line until I found they were overcharging me big time. I think if you dont bother to check what is available they will try it on

Agree with Jax, I was also with the same insurance co for about 15 yrs, now I change every year and always get a good deal.

They always do Jax. best to shop around. Loyalty to one company stands for nothing now.

It pays to shop around for everything now - energy suppliers, heating oil, even groceries, as well as insurance. Life's just not simple anymore! :-)

Seems a bit steep, even at the reduced price Merlin. I paid £268 in June, fully comp, protected bonus, any driver over age 25. They know I've had heart attack and have diabetes and that I'm over 70. Car is 1000cc Yaris 5 door first regd Sep 2009. Even better tho is road tax at £30. The car winds up like a diesel on M'ways.

I changed my house & contents insurance from Hal*fax to Ll*yds this year and saved about £13 a month with better cover.
They are both part of the same group !
