Slight change on the subject but our postie has dyed the bottom half of his beard PINK. I asked him why he hadn't done it red and green for Christmas - he replied he couldn't get green dye. ;-)

forgot to say in my post above...... I live in the sub-tropics, so a postie wearing a Hawaiian shirt is considered "normal" here lol

:-D

My friends son is a Postman, he said he wears shorts in all weathers as it is not as bad as wearing long trousers when its pouring with rain. Who am I to argue?

Some of us had to wear short trousers during that extemely cold winter of 1947. Thank goodness those days are over.

lolol

Our previous postie (he retired last year) rode around on his motorbike, wearing thongs (flipflops), shorts & a Hawaiian shirt (buttons undone), and his crash helmet. Often with a rollie (cigarette) hanging out one side of his mouth. As he whizzed by, he'd yell "G'Day!"

I think someone from Post Office uniform police saw him, and he had to wear regulation shoes, long pants, shirt & safety jacket, and no smoking!! Work Safety rules, but boring!

:-D

Isn't there some sort of competition?

My daughter has finally managed to persuade 4 year old grandson to wear long trousers :-0
