Darren Please stick to the thread you have, the same people look on there as look on this board, and if people help here they will probably only duplicate what has already been found on the several threads you have.

Darren, the problem with finding the birth of William J Taylor is that it is such a common name, there are 100s of them. You need to get the marriage certificate for William and your grandmother ( the reference is on your threads) and that will probably give you an age for William when he married, and should give you William's father's name and occupation. It will then be easier to find William with his parents on a census...which should give you a place of birth and year so you can look for a birth registration.

So you chose to delete the thread about William Taylor???

Purchase the marriage cert as I have already mentioned...or ask your grandmother

The name William Taylor is too common to find anything without somesort of clue

he was born in Limerick Ireland thats what my mother told me tonight

Who told you Wilfred died in the war age 15 Darren? He wouldn't have been 15 as he was 9 in 1901 census.
