Darren, the problem with finding the birth of William J Taylor is that it is such a common name, there are 100s of them. You need to get the marriage certificate for William and your grandmother ( the reference is on your threads) and that will probably give you an age for William when he married, and should give you William's father's name and occupation. It will then be easier to find William with his parents on a census...which should give you a place of birth and year so you can look for a birth registration. |
