	Dear All Hello On this day, in 1982, the official fourth station for england and wales was launched. Previous to this many had to have TV equipment altered to receive the reception signal. These were the days before Breakfast TV (that was launched in 1983) and any programmes during the afternoon. Very few video recorders were available and DVD's had not been thought of! Since 1982, many outstanding programmes have been shown on Channel 4 and its become well-known for showing American TV dramas. Here's to you Channel 4. 	I knew channel 4 started the year I got married but the 2nd Nov 1982 was not a Friday but a Tuesday...I only know that because I married on Friday 5th :-D No congratulations please although it will be our 30th...I left him 11 years ago....must be time to divorce I think :-D
