I do not know what I have done this time but as always I am confussed.com. I have looked at a few trees with no probs by clicking on the view button then on the full button, it took a few mins then yhe tree came up. Now I have 6 trees to look at with their permission, when I click on view I am ok but as soon as I CLICK ON FULL nothing happens. It says to wait as always but it does not load the trees. I thought at first it was my internet so I tried my mobile phone. Then I thought genes might be busy so I got up at 4am today & then I thought it was the weather & my internet but the weather is fine today & it still dont work. Does any1 have any idead what I have done wrong? :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

If there are over 3,000 in the tree you wish to view, dont bother it wont load them.
GR know about this but they are clueless on how to rectify the problem. :-(

If the trees have more than about 3000 people in them then you will have to forget about it for the moment.

See some recent threads on the suggestions board.

Thanx for the reply. As I am new to this & to computers in general, I am now at a loss. Hope they sort it soon or I am buggered and will not bother to subscribe again next month. I was enjoying this until now & the trees I want to see might well be related. Typical.

You should be able to view the part of the tree you want by using the Immediate View and searching for people on the tree.

I tried clicking on the immediate family button but the names I need to see are much further back. Not to worry, maybe some1 elses will have them in their tree or i will get on soon. if not maybe I will try ancestry. Thanx anyway :-(

Terry, when you select the other tree you get an immediate view display of the root person and immediate family.

I assume you have the name of a person in that tree who you want to view.

Click on Search Tree in the top right corner and a drop down box will appear.

Type in the name of the person and you will get a list of people with that name in that tree (perhaps only one).

Select the one you want and a view of that person will be displayed with their immediate family.

It's not as convenient as having the other views but it should allow you to make progress.

I have just tried it on a tree with 16000 entries so I know it can work.
