If anyone fancies an iced 'cake' of a building, the Hindu Mandir at Neasden - known as the Neasden Temple, is a sight to behold!!
...and fascinating.

Best rice pudding I've ever had was at the Sikh temple - Nanaksva Gudwara in St Mary's, Southampton.

Weald & Downland is marvellous, especially in the winter, when the houses are empty.

Michelham Priory, Sussex, where my younger daughter got married is gorgeous.

Amberley museum, in Sussex was fascinating

Laycock is also lovely.

The Russell-Cotes museum in Bournemouth is interesting

I also spend many a happy weekend tramping (off the 'beaten track') through the New Forest

So many places to visit, so little time!! :-D

Tell me more about the rice pudding in Southampton. I'll go anywhere for rice pudding.

Have been known to buy Asian sweets in St Mary's but don't know about getting food from the temple.

I think I'll be joining you at the Holly Bush and Dewy Spiderweb Sharron as everyone here seems to prefer bricks and mortar :-0 :-(

The convolvulus is yellow now.

Oh dear, I think I may have Starkadders in the family.I'll swear my mother was Great Aunt Ada Doom and I do go strange when the sukebind flowers!

Not so Island, gardens have been mentioned and The New Forest, and the swannery.

I can add we love to visit Westonbirt and Batsford Arboretums, no bricks and mortar there.

And we also love the scenery of the Cotswolds and Lake district.

Nothing like the Welsh islands though Ann :-)

We visit the New Forest religiously every year in the pannage but have never yet seen the pigs.

While we are there we always go to Calshott, It is at the very bottom of Southampton Water where the bigger ships have to turn to starboard to follow the deep channel to pass the Isle of Wight.

A good place to go Ah and waste an afternoon.

Bedgebury Arboretum is a nice place to go to,Summer or winter. its just off the A21 Close to Flimwell.

Castles, churches, museums, and haunted houses/places...Big country houses...Seaside..

Sharron - For Rice pudding Just go to a 'service' - and there's food afterwards, or you could just turn up after the service - they'll feed anyone! It's really Kisch inside, all fairy lights.

I've 'bumped into' (literally in one case!) a pig or two during pannage - I'll ask my friend where the pigs tend to be.
I know they're around Fritham - marvellous pub there, The Royal Oak :-D
