My OH is a human waste disposal unit but I don't necessarily want to be giving him my dinner.

Sometimes even he is beaten by a meal.

Well yes protein is better but the chips are cheaper. It's all about profit.

Went to a funeral that was catered at the local pub.

The only vegetrian choice was some sandwiches that were inedible so I left several on my plate with a bite taken out of each, just to indicate how unpleasant they were.

Other Half eat them!

I think he enjoyed the funeral so much he wanted one of his own!

Do not know where others on here live but I live in London and regularly eat out in Pubs etc., in the country, and we only ever go back to the generous pubs. Not the overloaded, which you tend not to get much of.

And I would certainly not go back to any eatery where I considered I was being overcharged for very little posh nosh....

We all understand about overheads, but if you are mean with the portions I would imagine that many people would not go back to be conned.

Also someone did mention childs meals, these in many places are not the same meals as those for adults and I do not want to eat out on Fish Fingers, Pizza or burgers....

A couple of times we have eaten in privately owned establishments where the food has been excellent but the balance of the meal has been wrong so OH was overfed again.

There is an amazing cafe near Goodwood where everything is homecooked and fabulous,

Her salad is gorgeous and wonderfully presented but it has no dull bits, spud or a roll. To order a baked potato or a roll would just make the meal too big to eat.

I have explained this to her. t first she thought I was complaining but I do hope she accepted my explanation that it was just too much loveliness at once.

We had something similar at a Greek night in a local pub.All the protein and salad you could want but a small portion of bread.

We have a favourite restaurant which we can really only go to on special occasions as it´s pricey.
There´s not a great deal of choice on the menu & the veg tend to be salad or roasted peppers & chips. OH doesn´t eat chips, so last time we went he asked if he could have extra peppers instead.
His plate arrived overflowing with a double portion of veg plus the chips :-S :-S
