Kense Report 9 Oct 2012 14:52

I use IE9 and Vista Jiminy, but it hasn't occurred for a few days now. It seems some Ebay users were affected by it.

Jax, I`m using IE9 with Vista ...
Plus, I have added the Google toolbar for translations and spellcheck, etc . :-)

I have not had the jloads thing since I switched to.co.za...maybe I should try it again

Budgie Rustler Report 9 Oct 2012 13:10

Hiya Ken
Good news is it is not a virus as such and it is deletable (I did it).
Bad news is. I cant remember exactly how I did it...lol.
I remember "toying" about with the thin jload strip banner and ended
up getting a windows box with a menu of options in it
one of the options was.. "Delete Item", which I clicked on and the banner vanished.

I later then found the following in my Recycle Bin...

[A java script icon] followed by the following info...

jload

Type: JScript Script File
Origin: 056XQ9XF
Size: 24.1 KB

Is anyone still getting the, jloads.js pixel,adsafeprotected.com popup ?

Budgie Rustler

Budgie Rustler Report 5 Oct 2012 14:17

Regarding the.. .

jloads.js pixel,adsafeprotected.com

it is generated by the ads, not just on here but also several other sites.

It will generally come up on websites that use java scripting within their adverts or their sites coding.

And it is not confined to one particular browser either.
(Google "seems" to play a part in it).

Its also been suggested disabling Java, but I'm not too sure about doing that, it may well be Java just needs updating :-S

Just had the same problem on this site.

Seems only to be in the early hours of the morning.

Kense Report 2 Oct 2012 18:30

Clicking the X only worked for a short time then it popped up again.

It wasn't just GR there were several different forums affected and also ebay.

I haven't had any problem with it today.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 2 Oct 2012 17:38

the site with a problem is Genesreunited..........

bet its one of their daft ads again that people have little or no interest in.
the j.sload thing is mainly happening on Win7.just click the X and not cancel........

Kense

Kense Report 2 Oct 2012 15:42

Re the jload.js thing - I had that several times yesterday evening, so I googled it and it seems a lot of forums were having problems with it.

It may be spyware but there didn't seem to be a definite conclusion about it.

On the freezing think I get a popup automatically (IE9) which asks me if I want to recover the page. If I click yes it all works again (for the moment), so not a severe problem. It has happened several times lately, not only with GR though.

Try adding GR to Trusted Sites on the Security tab under Internet Options which you will find on the Tools menu

GlitterBaby

GlitterBaby Report 2 Oct 2012 12:30

Well the Support Team suggested that I use Google Chrome so no surprise with that answer.

Kay - also getting problems with GR freezing.

So why is every other site problem free

jax Report 1 Oct 2012 22:48

I'm not messing with my browser for anyone IE9 and windows 7

But if it is anything like what Ronald mentioned...since changing from .co.uk to .co.za ....mine has been fine where as I was getting this message almost every time I switched from board to board

GlitterBaby

GlitterBaby Report 1 Oct 2012 22:40

As I thought a complete waste of time sending a message to the Support Team.

Got the usual reply as to what operating system and browser am I using and when does the problem occur. They obviously did not read this thread although I sent them the link.

I hope it is not the adverts again as they were a problem many months ago.

jax Report 1 Oct 2012 20:02

Ronald

I have been getting the same thing normally very late at night but tonight it started happening an hour or so ago.

Anyway I got fed up with it and signed out of uk and signed back into .co.za instead and touch wood it has stopped

Rambling Report 1 Oct 2012 20:00

GlitterBaby mine is doing it this evening also, it was a problem a few weeks back and then stopped. I am 99.9% certain it is down to the adverts, because when it happens the advert does not show.
