It's 11.30 pm here in NZ and my almost 16 year old boy has just gone out for his late night wee, we've had the odd puddle appear inside over the past year or so but that is usually the result of me being delayed in getting home and George telling me so in his way.

Molly Dog has the same problem if the back door is closed for even 5min.

I hide an incontinence sheet under her blankets (1 on sofa other in her bed) & much to her annoyance rinse her off every other day. (visitors tell me about T£ena pads otherwise!)

Buy plenty of Fabreeze for carpets.

What about a cork? :-D.

If you must get nappy pants--------please make sure they are *designer*so not to make her feel shes wearing just run of the mill common type ones god forbid.!

A friend had a similar problem with his elderley bitch & the vet gave him some pills which cured the leak.
Sorry, don´t know any details & can´t ask him because he & his gorgeous, (now continent) mutt have returned to England, but I´m pretty sure he gets the same tablets for her over there.

Can you get them for cats?
Since having the audacity to go away for a week an get a (to be honest slightly shrieky) old school friend into cat sit, one of my 3 cats (admittedly a slightly psychotic cat, prone to pulling her fur out at the slightest disruption) then spent the 2 weeks after my return pooing under my bed - then she started weeing IN my bed.

I put a dirt tray in the kitchen - no good, then shut her (and the other two innocent cats) downstairs, but not before shouting at her as I dragged sodden duvet, cover & sheets downstairs to wash , and letting? her sniff her own detritis in the bin bag I had placed it,

Fortunately she hasn't gone upstairs since,even when the door is open, and has managed to use the litter tray - she's not exactly old - only 6.

However, I do feel the need to humiliate her if she should try the same 'trick' again.
Unlike dogs, who regard you as 'mummy' and accept what you do, cats like to regard themselves as above all that - which is fine if you're not a prima donna like Betty, with an evil 'mummy' like me!! :-D

Thanks Mau, I had checked these out but you know my doggie has a curly tail that seldom wags...so how will I know if she is happy or deeply affronted? :-D :-D <3

Well you can get Puppy nappies so why not try them.
She may not like them but better her wearing nappies than you haveing to clean your carpets all the time.
