Oh I really really want to go and live with Julia. I wouldn't take up too much space, honestly and I have no bad habits...much :-D I could just be spoonfed strawberry conserve and scones and rare beef dripping with fat and pies, lots of pies, chicken, beef with Guinness, and spuds from the garden and all kinds of vegetables, and fresh bread made on the Aga.......and...and....

*dreams on :-D <3 ;-)

Hello Island, did not see you lurking there.

I don't like my cold weather to be dull and dirty and dark, but nice and crisp and bright. LOLOL

AnninGlos, I so agree with you re wearing warmer clothes through this "summer".
But I much prefer winter to summer clothes, when necessary. I have always loves wool and tweed.
Next month I will be using all the strawberries up, now residing in the freezer, to make Strawberry Conserve, with a pot in everyone's present box. And, the Brambles to make Jeely as is called in Scotland. This is Dad's favourite, and with a container of Drop Scones, made at the last minute, plus his usually 'bottle', and that his him sorted for Christmas.
With part of one of the freezers then working on empty, I can start and think about Christmas baking, and fill it up again. Saw a little recipe in a mag. the other day, for making a Bramble Sauce to eat with Game, so I will just have to give it a go.
Once they start printing those Christmas recipes in the mags. and supplements, I know we are on the road.
Who said a woman that stops at home, doesn't do anything but stop at home. LOLOL.

Teresa how bigs a biggie, I don't believe it can be
that big. :-D

Ann I also love it when it snows as long as am not
out in it and yes summer is a joy especially if it a
good one. Spring I find gives me a lot of pleasure,
bulbs coming through and a feeling of well being
in the air.
All seasons are also a joy for me, each hold their
own beauty.
Haven't bought Christmas cards yet, but have bought
an easter egg or two. :-D

I don't like the dark days of winter but do like the bright crisp days. Love it when it snows and I don't have to go out. I miss the pleasure of the garden in winter (I do not go out there in the winter months, I don't like the cold.

Yes it is nice to pull the curtains and stay in the warm but I do love the long days of summer and sadly we didn't have many this year as the months of the longer days were dull and wet.

I do tend to look forward though and like it once we get into the new year and the bulbs start to grow, then I know we are in for better weather, and there is always the chance of a good summer :-D

I do quite like going into winter clothes and 'finding' all the favourites put away for summer. Although I fear many didn't get put away this year.

Actually I am usually happy enough whatever the season as long as the daytimes are not too dark. But I love Christmas and the run up to Christmas. I buy bits through the year and the Grandsons just want money so that removes the stress of trying to find things to buy.

Garden centres are starting to get their Christmas cards and wrappings in. And I am halfway through making my Christmas cards.

Too much information Merlin :-D

I love the Autum but it is still warm and sunny here at the moment. I have started to sort out the wardrobe and get the winter woollies out ready for the colder days.

Just had a thought Emma, it's only six months and six days until our birthday. I shall be hiding it's a biggie next year :-|.
