Anyone watching the Victory parade? So many people out there. Nice that all the volunteers are involved. If I knew what Lynda looked like I could look for her. :-D

Island Report 10 Sep 2012 13:26

We heard the fireworks about ten minutes before we saw them on the tv.

Sound sure travels fast these days ;-) :-D

I didn't watch all the closing ceremony, turned over to it just about at the change over of the flag to Rio, but the actual final and the fireworks etc were really good, as was Cold Play, much more life in them than Macca. It willo seem strange now with everything back to normal. It has been quite a year for UK hasn't it? :-D

I agree Mau, better closing ceremony than the other.

Could be something to do with Coldplay in on it,

Be fair Macca (opening ceremony I know) was well past his sell by date.

Amazing performances from so many in the Paralympics - they all deserve a medal for just having the grit and determination in taking part.

The competitors have given a wonderful display of their ABILITIES which has been awe inspiring. <3

We've been glued to the tv watching the Paralympics.

The athletes are incredible and must be so inspiring to any disabled person who wonders if they could ever compete.Seeing the wheelchair rugby, basketball and tennis matches has been 'jaw-dropping' they're soo good! and the medals board is terrific :-D....so proud of them all.
