I understand that, Jan. I felt like that after having discovered that Bryan from Cilfrew had died. Without putting feelings into words that are hard to find, I understand.

Jan... Very sad news, thank you for telling us. l remember Lindsey too, we had talked about art and she gave me her website also. One of her avatars was a lady with blonde hair, is that right??

She commented on mt grandfathers work:)

Lindsey's avatar of the lady with blond hair and a yellow sweater was a self portrait if I remember rightly. I remember looking at her web site and thinking how talented she was

Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

More sad news of a member of gr lost to us all. Rest in peace, Lindsey. it sounds as tho there will be lovely pictures she has painted to remember her by as well.

It's lovely that we can make special friendships through this site and others, but so sad when that friend is lost to us again, and as you say Jan, hard for others to understand the rapport and support others can give even if we never meet them face to face.

You can always type out your messages to her and then put them in Waiting to be sent or something, I am sure Lindsey will be helping you from a different place now Jan.

This is very sad.


I used to "see" Lindsey* on the boards .... and loved seeing her paintings.


I noticed she wasn't posting ....... but just thought she was taking a break.
