Any midwives answer this one please? Why do the majority of mothers in UK and USA appear to give birth whilst lying on their back? Yes the pools are seen (rarely) here and what about birthing chairs? |

I would like to know why the hospital allowed fathers and birth helpers to stay in their ourdoor clothes in the birthing room ?one father wore a heavy overcoat with a hood. . Is this what is really happening in these hospital. ?He was also allowed to cuddle his baby. I thought where is the health and safety gone ????? |

I hope all hospital are more strick on this sort of thing, the nurses work hard and many wear masks but it seem people from outside can walk about as they pleased in the baby units wearing outdoor clothing. |

Saw a little of it. Not enough though to know if all the births shown happened in the same day. |

Thanks Rita. I only saw the two babies that had some trouble. It was great to see how well they both recovered. |

The hospital was really busy and I would have felt uncomfortable there as my first baby in particular took ages to be born |

I read in the RT that around 130 babies a week are born there. |
