Yes, it's lovely, we had a weekend there some years ago and I visited on my own late 1980s. Walked around the walls, and went to Jorvik centre, also Castle Museum.

Hi Stray
The only time I have been to York was a few years ago to meet up for the very first time with 2 Birth Brothers and Cousin.Other than it being a very unreal experience meeting these 'strangers ' who were my family I loved York!
Great place .I'd love to back again to actually see it properly so I could take it all in.Loved the Cathedral.Sounds like you had a good day out :-D :-D

aw i love the place, its the first time littlemans been and will remember, as he was much to young before,

and the 2 museums we went in "jorvik centre, n castle museum" was pay in, and free for the rest of the yr, so we defo gong back, SOON


one day when you go again uzzi, we will have lunch :-P

somebody in my family was married in York minster in the 1700s
anD today we had such fun even though it rained on and off
there was plenty to do

and our entry tickets last a year so will deffo be going back agin soon :-D :-D

Stray I used to love York and yes the shambles, thanks Errol for reminding me. I haven“t been there for years but York has a special place in my heart.

I love the place - love walking through the Shambles and was there not so long ago.
On an interesting yet amusing note, they have just turfed the inside of the Cathedral/Minster

places ever to visit, is York,

so me n the dragon took baby S on the train today,

what a day, love the museums, and shops, the shambles,
the whole atmosphere of the place,

altho we couldnt get him in the york dungeons, maybe next time,

anyone else been to york?
