I have a picker upper from when I had my hip done...I wouldn't be without it. Especially when my OH insists on chucking his tissues in the general direction of the waste paper bin...and generally missing it...they get behind the TV, under the writing desk, all sorts of places...

The other thing I wouldn't be without is my ghd's...I have wild unruly curly hair, so to straighten it and tame it, and have it do what I want it to do is heaven.

Its the only one I can use to either peel or scrape spuds or peel cooking appes with.........


its sharpens great on the step.... :-D

Ann it says on their ads that they are made to "stand the test of time" they obviously do!

We have a grabber but I have 'my 'knife which you may not use'.

It is a double ended job from Lakeland.One end is a knife and the other a swinging peeler, the only one I can use, which each slot into the handle.

I use it daily and feel as if I have a limb missing if it is mislaid.

I thought that was a handbag

I have a picker upper too, also a very long shoe horn else I would be barefoot all the time..lolol

Also my best friend in the world - my super elevated loo seat (not the one manufactured for those that are vertically challenged) it goes everywhere with me :-D

I have a Bamix - it mixes in anything - a small glass or a bucket - liquidises, chops, blends, whips - brilliant - use it all the time and have had it since 1972!!!!

One of the most useful 'gadgets' I have in the house is my mum's 'picker upper'. I wouldn't be without it, you can reach things from up high and pick things up from the floor, you can even load the washing machine with it if your back's bad and it's great for sliding under the beds and sofa to make sure there's nothing 'lost' under them :-D
